Softball tryouts for girls fast-pitch travel teams are set for Saturday, August 2, at 9 a.m. at the Sneads ball field (Adam Tucker Wilson Ball Park), located on Hwy. 90 in Sneads.
There are teams for 10 and under, 12 and under, and 14 and under.

Needs Volunteers

The Calhoun County Youth Soccer League Board needs at least three new members for the 2008 season and beyond. Without you, there will not be a youth league this fall.
At the end of last year’s season we informed coaches and parents that we needed new volunteers to run the program. We, Judy Ludlow and Carl Bennett, are willing to help in this transition, but can no longer manage the program. We have been coordinating this league for a number of years and are proud of how it has grown in our community.

BHS Tigers Keep Weight Room Busy

The Blountstown High School weight room has been busy this summer with Tigers in training. The boys will be hitting the field for football drills in August.
