George Sands

George Sands, 79, of Bristol passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2008. Mr. Sands was born in Tampa and had lived in Liberty County since 1997. He was a retired construction contractor and was a member of Lake Mystic Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Myrle Sands, of Bristol; two sons, Dennis Lee Johnson and his wife, Janet, of Webster, Florida, George Cleveland Sands, Jr. and his wife, Cindy of Wildwood, Florida; two daughters, Sheila Hodges and her husband, Wade, of Bushnell, Florida, and Beverly Kinard of Leesburg, Florida; one brother, James Luther Sands, of Bushnell, Florida; two sisters, Faye Fritzkie of Samson, Alabama, and Gene Buchannan of Tampa, Florida; six grandchildren, Terry, Ticie, Kristy, Monte, Dennis, and Jesse; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. EST, Friday, May 9, in the Adams Funeral Home Bristol Chapel with Reverend Clyde Roberts officiating. Interment followed in Lake Mystic Cemetery.

QUINCY ALAN SEGERS

Mr. Quincy Alan Segers, 48, of Clarksville, FL, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008, at his home in Clarksville.
Mr. Segers was born on March 18, 1960, in Ft. Walton Beach, FL, and had lived in Calhoun County for most of his life. He served in the United States Air Force for eight years and also worked for the Federal Government in National Security for four years.
Survivors include his mother, Linda Gail Segers, of Clarksville; father, Quincy R. Segers, of Cypress, FL; three brothers, Randall Segers of Grand Ridge, FL, Philip Segers of Valparaiso, FL, Aaron Segers of Blountstown; one sister, Belinda Lunsford, of Clarksville; a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 13, at 2:00 p.m. (CT) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with James Dykes officiating. Interment followed in Red Oak Cemetery near Altha, FL, in the Red Oak Community.
