It was a hot night in Altha Monday after a traffic crash led to a power outage.
According to Trooper Dallas Jones of the Florida Highway Patrol, Donald Turner, 47, of Panama City Beach, was northbound on SR 71 just after 11 p.m. when he lost control of his 1998 GMC pickup. Turner crashed into a power pole just south of the city limits.
Power was out all over Altha for several hours as Florida Public Utilities worked through the night to repair the damage. Turner was arrested for violating a driving restriction requiring he only drive to work.
