Eunice Otelia Priest Clark was born in Williston, Florida, February 26, 1921, to the late Van Hood Priest and Rosalie Noegel Priest.

She died Saturday, April 17, 2010, at her home in Madison, Florida, surrounded by her family.

She was predeceased by her son, Dr. William Burton Clark IV, and a sister, Mary Van Priest Studstill.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, William Burton “Jargo” Clark III, and three daughters, Rosemary Clark Stiefel (William Stiefel) of Highlands, North Carolina, Margaret Irel Clark (Dennis Devine) of San Antonio, Florida, and Elizabeth Clark Rotter, (Harry Rotter) of Madison, Florida; and one sister, Rosalie Priest Russell, of Tallahassee. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was a life long resident of Madison, Florida, and a member of the First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for over 50 years. She was active in many civic and community organizations. She was a great caregiver and touched the hearts of all who knew her, family and friends alike.

Services were held at Beggs Funeral Home, 235 NW Orange Avenue, Madison, Florida, Wednesday, April 21, at 2 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Southern Scholarship Foundation, 322 Stadium Drive, Tallahassee, Florida 32304, the Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, Florida 32308-5428 or the charity of your choice.

Arrangements were under the direction of Beggs Funeral Home, Madison Chapel (ph. 850-973-2258).
