Winona May West Fiebelkorn, 95, of Marianna, Florida, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010, in Marianna.

Mrs. Fiebelkorn was born May 9, 1914, in Corunna, Michigan, to the late Grover and Cora West. Winona lived in Centerville, Michigan, after marrying Franklin Fiebelkorn and later moved to Burlington, Michigan, in 1947. She was a member of the Burlington Seventh-day Adventist Church for over 60 years and was a graduate of Andrews University. She taught elementary school for many years and was very active in mission work. Her passion for mission work led her to preach in Kenya during a two week visit as well as mailing Bibles and clothing to African families. She financially supported Kenyan students for over 25 years.

She also participated in Marantha Missions to Honduras where she helped build churches and conducted prison ministries. She was the author of a book, “On the Road with Joseph Waggoner”. Due to declining health, Frank and Winona moved to Florida in 1999 to live with their daughter, Frances, and her husband, Isaac.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Fiebelkorn; and a sister, June West Jahr.

Survivors include her daughter, Frances Stone, and her beloved son-in-law, Isaac, of Marianna; a son, David Fiebelkorn, and his wife, Germae, of Sheffield Village, Ohio; five grandchildren, Ted Fiebelkorn and his wife, Fabrizia, of Bay Village, Ohio, Carl Blanchard and his wife, Dora, of Fletcher, North Carolina, Trish Blanchard of Boca Raton, Florida, Martin Stone and his wife, Carola, of Miami, Florida, and Jeff Fiebelkorn of Midlothian, Virginia; five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and a faithful friend, Linda Brubaker.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 18, from the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Marianna. Contributions may be made to the Emmanuel Seventh-day Adventist Church building fund, 4531 Basswood Road, Greenwood, FL 32443.

Adams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements (ph. 850-674-5449 or online at www.adamsfh.com).
