Lady Wildcats fall to Franklin County, Aucilla

On Tuesday, February 16, the Lady Wildcats traveled to Franklin County to take on the Lady Seahawks. The Lady Cats were defeated, 14-0.

Emily Brooks pitched 4 innings facing 28 batters striking out 1, walking 3, and giving up 11 hits. The Cats had 3 errors. Brooks was 1 for 1 at bat with a single. Amy Tharp was 1 for 3 with a single.

On Thursday, February 18, the Lady Wildcats hosted Aucilla, losing 16-2.

Christy Simmons pitched 4 innings facing 30 batters striking out 3, walking 7, and giving up 7 hits. Emily Brooks pitched 1 inning facing 10 batters, striking out 1, walking 1, and giving up 3 hits. The Cats had 6 errors. At the plate, Brooks was 1 for 2 with a single and 1 RBI, and Kelsey Rehberg was 1 for 2 with a single and 1 RBI.

The Lady Wildcats were back in action against the Bobcats from R.F. Munroe on Tuesday (details unavailable at press time).

We are working hard and getting better everyday, and we are looking forward to a great season. Come out and support the Lady Wildcats.
