She was born in Calhoun County, FL, February 15, 1934, to Annie Lee Theobolt and had made her home in Tallahassee, FL, and Washington, DC, for a number of years. She lived in Neshoba County, MS, since 1975.
Mrs. Walton was a retired registered nurse and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Derwood R. Walton; a daughter, Deborah Sue Clark; and sons, Steve Allen Walton and Rev. Gary Eugene Walton, all of Philadelphia, MS. She also had nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Adreff Drew McNew of Blountstown, FL, Esther M. Devilbliss of Sneads, FL, and Annie Mae Sapp of Pensacola, FL; and a brother, Odreff F. Theobolt, of Chipley, FL.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Lee Theobolt; a sister, Hathaleen Theobolt; and also her son, Glen Raynold Walton.
A funeral service was held Sunday, May 31, in Philadelphia, MS.
