Altha Lady Lifters win overall at Godby meet

Altha Girls’ Weightlifting team traveled to Godby High School Jan. 14 for their first meet of the season. They won overall and each lifter qualified for the next lift.

Results are as follows:
101 class- Karen Schwendeman, 1st place
119 class- Destiny Watts, 1st place
129 class- KK Beauchamp, 1st place
139 class - Allie Hill, 3rd place
154 class- Serena Bradford, 1st place
169 class- Haley Chason, 1st place
183 class- Chelsea Jones, 2nd place and Carolyn Jackson, 3rd place
199 class- Elizabeth Gratz, 1st place
Unlimited class- Christina Watson, 1st place

The top four lifters will advance to State Semi Finals which will be held at Altha High School at 3 pm on January 28. The top three places in each weight class from that meet will advance to State Finals on February 13 in New Port Richey.
