Another election year is here and candidates are already stepping forward.
Danny Hassig filed his letter of intent Monday with the Supervisor of Elections Office to seek re-election to the district 5 seat on the Calhoun County School Board.
According to Elections Supervisor Margie Laramore, the following posts will be on the ballot this year:
-County Commission district 2 (currently held by Dan Wyrick)
-County Commission district 4 (currently held by Truman Grant)
-School Board member district 2 (currently held by Kelly King)
-School Board member district 3 (currently held by Tim Smith)
-School Board member district 5 (currently held by Danny Hassig)
The primary election is Aug. 24 and the general election is Nov. 2.
