Mr. James R. Halley, 81, of Blountstown, passed away Friday, May 29, 2009, in Blountstown.
James was born on February 20, 1928 in Calhoun County and had lived here all of his life. He was a retired carpenter and painter and was a member of Blountstown First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Blountstown.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Halley of Crawfordville, Chuck Halley of Blountstown; one daughter, Teresa (Halley) Mears and her husband, Clinton, of Blountstown; three grandchildren, Christopher Bailey, Travis and Brandon McCardle; and two great-grandchildren, Blake and Montana Bailey.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 31, at 2:00 p.m. (CT) at Blountstown First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Blountstown with Rev. David Goodman officiating. Interment followed in Nettle Ridge Cemetery in Blountstown.
