An Altha man arrested in connection with a Bay County murder last year is now facing charges in Calhoun County.
Joshua Sourbeck, 21, has been charged with grand theft of a firearm and burglary while armed.
According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Sourbeck is accused of breaking into the home that belonged to a friend’s parents on Navajo Lane in Blountstown last November and stealing a .22 pump rifle. He later admitted to taking the gun and trading it for a CDplayer, but the man he named in the trade said they had an exchange, but it wasn’t for a CD player - it was for a .20 gauge shotgun.
A week later, Sourbeck was charged with being an accessory after the fact to armed robbery with a firearm and accessory after the fact to murder following the killing of Vishnukumar "Vish" Patel, the owner of Sylvia’s Grocery at 18441 Hwy. 231 in Fountain. Patel was found shot to death behind his store. Sourbeck was accused of driving the pair charged in December.
