Animal cruelty has reached a new low in Calhoun County. Someone decided it would be fun to shoot a beloved family pet with a bow and arrow Friday night.
Chad and Lisa Dees had to break the news to their daughter after her prom Friday evening that her Husky, Lakota, had been murdered. The dog died from injuries that occurred near their farm behind Pine Island.
“Whoever decided to shoot my daughter’s beautiful husky with an arrow, I hope you are proud of yourself,” a devastated Lisa remarked.
The arrow was recovered and it was determined a Shooting Mission Crossbow was the type used in the attack.
