OBITUARY - Grover

James Grover, 83, of Altha, Florida, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015, in Blountstown, Florida.
James was born in Alliance, Florida, March 3, 1931, to the late James J. and Minnie Bell (Phillips) Grover. He served in the United States Army for several years and later in life he worked as a carpenter. James was a member of Page Pond Assembly of God Church.
Other than his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Louise Grover, and son, Gary Griffin.
Survivors include two sons, Joe Griffin of Panama City, Florida, and Gene Griffin and his wife, Samantha, of Tennessee; three daughters, Charlotte Clemons and her husband, Clint, of Altha, Bonny Kornegay and her husband, Corvia, also of Altha, and Amber Neal and her husband, Dalton, of Blountstown; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Faye Bates, and her husband, J.D., of Altha; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
The family will receive friends at 12:00 noon, Saturday, January 10, in the Chapel of Adams Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Carlton Baggett and Reverend Clint Clemons officiating. Interment will be in Old Shiloh Cemetery near Altha.
