The Blountstown High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) Chapter has done it again! For the second year in a row, the Blountstown FFA has brought home a national championship title, but this year, they won TWO EVENTS!
Three teams from BHS headed to Indianapolis last week with sponsor Ron Mears - Ag Issues, Forestry, and Business Management.
Both Forestry and Business Management captured first place in the nation with Ag Issues earning an impressive bronze medal.
Pictured are Forestry team winners (from left) Laura Stoltzfus, Stewart Herndon, Daniel Leonard, and David Leonard, along with Mr. Mears. These students also brought home some individual honors with Daniel Leonard scoring second highest in the nation, Stewart winning third place, Adams earning fifth, and David Leonard earning fifth in their areas of competition.
Blountstown was the only school in the country to send three teams to nationals. Congratulations to this outstanding group of students and their awesome teacher!
