Walter James “Jim” Newton, 59, of Altha, Florida, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014, in Panama City, Florida.
Jim was born August 26, 1954, in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and moved to Altha in the early ‘80’s. He served in the United States Marine Corp and was a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roland Newton; his parents, Fredrick and Florence Moyers; a grandchild, Ezekiel Sean Nichols; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Doris and Marcus Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Gay (Williams) Newton, of Altha; a son, Wyatt Newton, and wife, Kenisha, of Altha; two daughters, Holly Nichols and husband, Ezekiel, and Heidi Newton of Altha; six grandchildren, Aricka, Cheyenne, Jolie, Brittany, Sheldon Nichols and Ginnie Bequette; his mother, Ruth Bloodworth, of Blountstown, Florida; a brother, Butch Newton, of Spotsylvania, Virginia; two sisters, Angela Nowling and husband, Kim, of Blountstown, and Doris Ann
Taylor of Spotsylvania; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
