Barbara “Judy” Summerlin, 76, of Hosford, Florida, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014, at her home in Hosford.
Judy was born in Telogia, Florida, April 16, 1937, to the late Nathan and Nellie (Evans) Chester. She was a graduate of Liberty County High School and was retired from the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles in Tallahassee, Florida. In her pastime she enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Reggie Douberly; and a sister, Eloise Phillips Sanders.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Summerlin; son, Walter Douberly, Jr.; two daughters, Cindy Goodson and husband, Jimmie, and Joy Crowe and her husband, David, Sr., all of Telogia; two grandchildren, David Crowe, Jr. and significant other, Amanda Whitehead, and Dereck Crowe; a brother, Jimmy Chester, and wife, Follette, of Hosford; two sisters, Janet Morris and her husband, David, of Telogia, and Tricia Taylor and husband, Joe, of Orange Park, Florida.
A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. ET, Tuesday, February 4, in Good Hope Cemetery in Telogia.
