James Monroe Huggins, 88, of Live Oak, Florida, passed away Monday, December 16, 2013, in Lake City, Florida.
James was born in Westville, Florida, to the late Curtis Theodore and Eddie Belle (Arrant) Huggins and lived many years in Blountstown before moving to Stuart, Florida. While there he retired from the maintenance department of the Martin County School System. After his retirement, he moved to Live Oak.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, W.C. Huggins and Edgar Huggins.
He is survived by his wife, Charlsie, of Live Oak; a daughter, Polly Williams, of St. Augustine, Florida; four grandchildren, Carol Kanost, Darlene Delaney, Bobby Lingold, and Trey Williams; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Horace Huggins, of Blountstown; two sisters, Vera Dudley and Elma Mullins, both of Blountstown.
A graveside service was held Friday, December 20, at 11:00 a.m. CT, at Pine Memorial Cemetery. Interment followed.
