Authorities are on the prowl for a man who reportedly fled following a traffic accident that revealed drug activity.
On November 1, the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office CID Unit responded to the scene of a single vehicle crash on SR 73 in reference to a white male fleeing the scene on foot. The crash was reported by Inv. Greg Skipper of the Gulf Co. Sheriffs Office.
The suspect has been identified as Jeffery Marshall.
Upon arrival at the scene, Calhoun County CID discovered several items in Marshall’s vehicle to include crystal methamphetamine, digital scales, and several small plastic baggies, which are commonly used to package drugs.
The Calhoun County Sheriffs Office was assisted at the scene by DOC K-9 units from Calhoun and Gulf, as well as FHP Trooper Luke Johnson.
A warrant for Marshall has been issued for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
