Altha FFA member, Rena O’Bryan, was recently selected by the Florida State FFA officer team to represent Florida as a delegate at the 86th National FFA Convention and Expo.
Each year, Florida FFA is fortunate to seat official voting delegates at the National FFA Convention and Expo. Florida is eligible to seat 13 delegates, 11 of which are State Officers and Past State FFA Officers. The remaining two spots were open to high school students; Rena was chosen as one of those two.
Delegates to the National FFA Convention & Expo are charged with representing the interests of FFA members within their state FFA association while working to forward the progress of the entire National FFA Organization. These students serve as the voice of the entire FFA Organization. They are tasked with determining how the FFA will continue to grow and thrive in the future.
This is a tremendous honor to be chosen to represent the state of Florida, and ultimately the National FFA Organization. Only 475 students of the over 500,000 FFA members are chosen. We are extremely proud of Rena for achieving this honor! Congratulations!
The National FFA Organization provides leadership, personal growth and career success training through agricultural education to 557,318 student members who belong to one of 7,498 local FFA chapters throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
