The students at Blountstown High school who made learning gains in reading and math or scored 3.5 in writing, or a 3 or higher in science were rewarded with a prize filled pizza party during homecoming week on Tuesday.

The students were given an extended lunch. Pizza and drinks were dished out in the gym, and prizes of $25 and $50 Wal-mart gift cards were also given away at the celebration.

Savannah Prowant, a sophomore at BHS, won the grand prize of a 26” flat screen TV. Mr. Barber and Mrs. Price praised the 146 eligible students
