Glenice Kelley, age 71, of Clarksville, Florida, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013, at her home surrounded by loved ones.
She was born May 10, 1942, in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada, and grew up in Bath, Maine, graduating from Morse High School in 1960. Glenice retired from New England Telephone and Telegraph. She moved to Florida in 1991 and she worked for Ramsey Piggly Wiggly in Blountstown for several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Irene (Mitchell) Newman, of Bath, Maine and one brother, Gary Newman, of Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Glenice is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Wood, and husband Ronnie of Clarksville, two granddaughters, Kelley Wood of Tallahassee, Florida and Kassie Wood of Clarksville; a grandson, Mathew Wood of Clarksville; a great-grandson, Jayden Jackson of Clarksville; two sisters, Gail Wood and husband Ron of Clarksville and Glenda Bickford and husband Elliot of Orange Park, Florida; two brothers, Grady Newman of Phippsburg, Maine and Robert Newman, Jr. of Portland, Maine; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 20, in Clarksville Cemetery with Reverend David Goodman officiating.
