Mrs. Elinor Joan Stacy, age 73, of Blountstown, passed away early Thursday morning, September 5, 2013, in Marianna.
Joan was born on October 18, 1939, in Eldorendo, GA, and has lived in Blountstown for most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Rivertown Community Church.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Stacy, and two sons, Alvin and Scotty Wise.
Survivors include six sons, Kenneth Stacy and Patricia of Marianna, Tracey Stacy of Blountstown, Joey Wise of Clarksville, Chuck Wise of Dallas, GA, Dusty Stacy and Raemarie of Tallahassee, and Willy Stacy of Altha; five daughters, Patricia McPhaul, of Blountstown, Makayla Strickland and Jerry of Tallahassee, Donise Stacy and Jay of Palos Hills, IL, Amburr (Sam) Goff and Casey of Bristol, and Stormy Wise and Chris of Blountstown; one brother, Jimmy Elkins, and Stephanie of Blountstown; one sister, Peggy Nix, of Bainbridge, GA; 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 9, at 10:00 am (CDT) at Rivertown Community Church with Paul Smith and Kevin Yoder officiating.
Interment followed in Macedonia Cemetery near Blountstown.
All arrangements were under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown (ph. 674-2266).
