A single vehicle crash on a rainy Monday morning has claimed the life of a Blountstown native.

Deborah Clark Daniels, 51, of Grand Ridge was pronounced dead on the scene of the accident.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Daniels was northbound on SR 69 just north of Jody Field Road in Calhoun County around 9:25 a.m. For unknown reasons, she lost control of her 2009 Pontiac and the vehicle began rotating counter-clockwise, crossed the southbound lane and entered the west shoulder. The right side and undercarriage of the car collided with the west ditch embankment. The car then overturned and struck two pine trees.

It took rescue workers over an hour to remove her from the wreckage.

The accident was investigated by FHP Cpl. R.F. Bailey. The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Calhoun EMS, and volunteer firefighters also assisted.

Denise my heart goes out to you and your family! I can't imagine the great pain and suffering you all must be going through; but I do know God will be there for you all and take care of your family's indiviual needs. Only he knows what it'll really take to help you through this time of saddness. Just be patient and trust in him.

Remember I'm here if there is ANY thing I can do. Don't hesitate to call.

Love You
