A local nurse and paramedic have both been charged in two separate incidents for illegally acquiring narcotics on the job.
Melissa Cessna, 44, turned herself into the Calhoun County Jail Monday to face charges of obtaining a controlled substance by deception. Paramedic Joseph James Oakler, 29, is charged with violation of the prescription drug monitoring program. He had not turned himself in as of press time Tuesday morning.
