Mary Sewell, 80, of Hosford, Florida, went to be with the Lord Sunday, May 19, 2013.
Mary was born July 26, 1932, in Quincy, Florida, to the late J. D. and Pauline (Chason) Elliott. She was a homemaker and was a member of Mt. Zion United Pentecostal Holiness Church in Hosford.
She is survived by her husband, R. D. Sewell, of Hosford; three sons, Robert Dowdy and wife, Connie, of Hosford, Gregory Lee Sewell of Louisiana, and Michael David Sewell of Hosford; three daughters, Hazel Marie Sewell of Hosford, Linda Carpenter and fiancé, Grant Landrum, of Blountstown and Meagan Sewell of Hosford; grandchildren, Robby Dowdy, Ashley Dowdy, Jonathan Erby, Hunter Carpenter, Hailey Sewell, Gavin Sewell, Eric Sewell, Beau Landrum, Blake Landrum, and Brooklynn Hunt; a brother, James David Elliott, and wife, Frances, of Telogia, Florida; two sisters, Florence Marshall and husband, T. W., of Sopchoppy, Florida and Geneva Powell and husband, Dick, of Belleview, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. ET, Wednesday, May 22, at Mt. Zion United Pentecostal Holiness Church with Reverend Aaron Elkins officiating. Interment will follow in Sanders Cemetery in Hosford. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. ET, Tuesday, May 21, at Adams Funeral Home in Bristol, Florida.
