This week was FULL of volleyball across all grade levels.

On Thursday, the Middle School Lady Cats hosted the Hosford Panthers. The A-team defeated the Panthers in two sets, 25-19 and 26-24. Leading scorer was Mary Sewell - 13 points, McKenzie Tanner - 6 points, Brianna Yon - 4 points,MacKenzie May - 3 points, Emily Sewell and Morgan Lewsi - 2 points each. The B-team was also successful in their game, beating the Panthers in the first set 25-20, losing the second set 8-25 but holding on to win the third set 16-14. Leading scorer was Madison Rowe with 10 points, Jenny Moore - 6 points, Ashlyn Barfield - 5 points, Elizabeth Bailey - 3 points, Aubree Bay and Brittany Graham - 2 points, Shelby Murphy - 1 point. After playing this week’s game the A-team record is 6-2 and B-team record is 5-2.

In Junior Varsity action, the Lady Cats hosted the Wildcats from Bethlehem Thursday, defeating them in 2 sets, 25-22 and 25-13. Leading scorer for that game was Brianna Harris with 11 points, followed by Hali Smith - 5 points (2 aces), Kimberly Wiltse - 5 points (1 ace), Sharlyn Smith - 4 points (2 aces), Haley Payne -2 points (1 ace) and Aerial Folsom - 1 point. Offensively, Aerial Folsom lead in assists with 4 followed by Kimberly Wiltse with 3. In kills, Aerial Folsom and Sharlyn Smith each had 2, Brianna Harris and Hali Smith added 1 each. These wins bring the JV record to 5-0...currently an undefeated team!

The Varsity team hosted the Wildcats from Bethlehem Thursday, beating them in three sets, 25-18, 25-23, 25-18. Leading in points - Loni Johnson with 14(11 aces), followed by, Cortney Harris - 6 points (5 aces), Emily Brooks - 6 points, Rebekah Wiltse - 5 points, Christy Simmons - 5 points, Nikki Schamens - 4 points (1 ace), KK Beauchamp - 2 points.

Offensively, leading in kills was Christy Simmons with 10, followed by, Loni Johnson - 6, Nikki Schamens - 3, Rebekah Wiltse - 2, KK Beauchamp and Emily Brooks each added 1 kill. Emily Brooks lead in assists with 11, Cortney Harris had 8. Defensively, digging the ball was Loni Johnson with 2 digs, Emily Brooks, Nikki Schamens and Rebekah Wiltse each had 1 dig. The Varsity record stands at 7-1.

The Middle School, J.V. and Varsity Lady Wildcats defeated the Blountstown Lady Tigers on Monday and hosted Marianna Tuesday (details unavailable at press time). The Middle School girls travel to St. Joe on Thursday for a 3:30 p.m. game.
