Season Summary - Comments from Coach Rogers
It was a great season for a great group of kids. The only blemish on their season was at Tolar and I made a poor pitch selection when I knew they were picking up our signs, so that was on me. These kids were awesome all year and I expect to hear a lot from them as they get to high school.
God was good to us and our community and we will be blessed to watch these kids play four more years of baseball. If they continue to work with Coach Horne and get better, I am sure they will continue to make this community proud.
I know I learned more baseball this year than the kids. Coach Horne has a great program started at BHS and although I played baseball and even played in the Regional finals in high school, for a coach that went on to coach college baseball, this year was a learning experience for me. I also appreciate the hard work that Terry Blair (assistant coach) put in for these kids as he did a great job.
I have been very blessed for the opportunity at BMS and working in a community that I love with awesome kids to work with. I appreciate Coach Horne's help in baseball and Coach Jordan's help in football as both of them contributed to the success that we had this year at the middle school.
