Sandra Jean Deason, 69, of Blountstown, Florida, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013, in Tallahassee, Florida.
She was a member of Gateway Baptist Church and was a secretary for the Calhoun County School Board for many years. She later retired as a secretary for the Department of Corrections.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jackson A. and Mildred Irene (Richards) Brantley; and a brother, Ronnie Brantley.
She is survived by her husband, Winston Deason; a son, Rob Deason, and his wife, Necy, of Blountstown; a daughter, Angie Deason, also of Blountstown; three grandchildren, Alex, Emma, and Ella Deason; a sister, Gay Richards, of Blountstown; two brothers, Randy Brantley and his wife, Caroline, of Panama City, Florida, and Andy Bailey and his wife, Amy, of Blountstown; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 9, in the Chapel at Adams Funeral Home with Reverend Paul Smith and Reverend Roger King officiating. Interment will follow in Nettle Ridge Cemetery.
