OBITUARY - Johnson

Mr. Fred T. Johnson, 79 of Blountstown, FL, passed away early Tuesday morning, February 12, 2013, in Blountstown.
Fred was born on June 18, 1933, in Knoxville, TN, and had lived in Blountstown since 1993, coming from Pensacola, FL. He was retired from the Monsanto Chemical Company with 37 years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the United States Air Force. Fred always enjoyed and saw the good side of life; he truly loved people and was a very fun person to be with. He was a member of the Blountstown Lions Club and a member of the Blountstown United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Johnson, of Blountstown; two sons, Berry Pugh and his wife, Lisa, of Huntsville, AL, and Jeff Johnson of Boynton Beach, FL; two daughters, Laurie Holland of Milton, FL, and Sherry Howes and her husband, Chris; one brother, Dick Johnson, and his wife, Sarah, of Nichols, SC; three sisters, Pat Osborne of Pensacola, FL, Sarah Haynes of Pensacola, FL, and Cynthia Barton of TN; 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 16, at 2:00 pm CST at Blountstown United Methodist Church with Reverend Jim Jines officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 16, from 1:00 pm until service time at 2:00 pm CST at Blountstown United Methodist Church.
All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown (ph. 674-2266).
