The Blountstown Lady Tigers chalked up a big win against the Liberty County Lady Bulldogs Friday night, 51-28.
“It was a very good game,” says Coach Tony Davis. “When we played them the first time, it was much closer.
This time we were focused and eager to play. The girls played good. They played hard defense. I was impressed with our defensive effort.”
Jayla Brigham led BHS with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Ashton McMullen followed with 16 points. Taylor Stalnaker provided eight points. Alexis Speights brought in five points. Rebecca Morphew contributed three.
Brittany Davis chipped in two points.
The Lady Tigers are ranked number two in the district and, if all continues on this path, will be bound for the playoffs.
The girls will travel to South Walton on Thursday with game time at 5:30 p.m. Friday afternoon, BHS will be at Port St. Joe for a 3:30 p.m. game. The final home game of the regular season will be Tuesday against Sneads at 6 p.m.
