The nation continues to mourn the loss of 20 innocent children and six educators in the small Connecticut community of Newtown.
In memory of each who were gunned down last Friday morning, a moment of silence was held around the country at 9:30 a.m. ET. when the tragedy began.
Here in Blountstown, folks gathered at Magnolia Square and walked for 27 minutes, the time that the nightmare transpired.
Our prayers remain with the people of Newtown. St. Francis of Assisi in Blountstown is conducting a daily prayer chain for the survivors.
