Mr. Dewey Hall, 80, of Clarksville, FL, (Frink Community) passed away Monday, December 17, 2012, at his home.
Dewey was born on July 29, 1932, in Calhoun County and had lived here most of his life. He was a retired forest ranger with 35 years of service. Dewey was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the United States Army. He truly loved the outdoors, going on trail rides, growing sugar cane and making his homemade cane syrup. He was a member of New Home Missionary Baptist Church in Clarksville.
Survivors include his wife, Larene Hall, of Clarksville; his son, Dennis Hall, and his wife, Nina, of Altha; his daughter, Polly Allen, and husband, Frankie, of Wewahitchka, FL; three sisters, Mildred Sewell and Pauline Newsome, both of Panama City, FL, and Vetta L. Sharman and her husband, Jimmy, of Altha; five grandchildren, Amanda Glover and her husband, Tony, Alisha Hall, Deidra Hall, James Keel and his wife, Leslie, and Lori Keel; four great-grandchildren, Joseph Benjamin Glover, Jessie Morgan Glover, Jeremiah James Keel and Jaydon Riley Yon.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 21, at 11:00 am (CST) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jim Hankins officiating. Interment will follow in Pippin Cemetery in Clarksville. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 20, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm (CST) at Peavy Funeral Home.
