Mr. Felix Gay, Jr. age 78, of Clarksville, FL passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012, in Panama City, FL.

Felix was born on August 17, 1934, in Panama City and had lived in Calhoun County for the past 25 years coming from Panama City. He retired after 34 years from Arizona Chemical Company in Panama City. Felix truly loved farming, hunting and fishing. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Poplar Head Baptist Church in Clarksville.

Felix was preceded in death by his parents, Felix M. Gay, Sr. and Lorayne (Branning) Gay, and a son, Marvin Gay.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Gay, of Clarksville; two sons, Marion Gay and his wife, Denise, of Bear Creek, FL, and Stephen Raisbeck and his wife, Jessica, of Frink, FL; two daughters, Beth Barnes and her husband, Ricky, of Panama City, and Jara Whitworth and her husband, Jeremy, of Blountstown; a brother, Jim Gay, and his wife, Alice, of Bayou George, FL; a daughter-in-law, Tanya Raisbeck, of Panama City, FL; a nephew, Jim Gay, of Atlanta, GA; and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 11, at 2:00 pm (CST) at Poplar Head Baptist Church with Reverend Gary Richerson officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Head Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 11, from 1:00 pm (CST) until service time at 2:00 pm (CST) at Poplar Head Baptist Church.

All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown (ph. 674-2266).
