Willie Earl Gay, 79, of Dellwood died Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Jackson Hospital.

He was a native and life long resident of Jackson County. He served in the U. S. Army for almost four years, and later retired from Sunland after 32 years of service where he enjoyed managing the horse farm.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jeannie and Willie Robert Gay.

Mr. Gay is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Wilson Gay, of Dellwood; four daughters, Lucille Stewart and husband, Marline, Lise Folsom and husband, Tim, all of Marianna, Marie Eady and husband, Gary, Jennie Tillman and husband, Joe all of Altha; three brothers, William Lee Gay, George Edway Gay both of Alford, R.L. Gay of Panama City; two sisters, Lois Harris of Alford, Louise Kent of Panama City; seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, Four step children Debbie Hamilton, Janet Grant, Robert Alford and Laurie Larrabee; four step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 23, at 2 p.m. at James and Sikes Maddox Chapel with Revs. Jack Howell and Don Wilson officiating.

Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery with James and Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
