OBITUARY - Carpenter

William “Bill” Lynn Carpenter, 66, of 165 Culpepper Dr., Cobb, GA., died at his residence Tuesday, October 9, 2012.

A native of Leesburg, FL, he was born September 27, 1946, the son of the late Lynn and Mary Louise Smith Carpenter. Mr. Carpenter was a member of the Gateway Baptist Church in Blountstown, FL, and was employed as the manager at Lake Shore Marine. He served on the U.S.S. Saratoga during the Vietnam War. He loved gardening and the beach.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 10, at Lake Shore Marine at 3:00 PM. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, c/o Ann Harris, 1801 Rose Avenue, Americus, Ga. 31709.

Survivors include his daughter, Becky Carpenter of Blountstown; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Jim Minor of Odessa, FL and Eva and Burke Hayes of Blountstown; two brothers and sister-in-law, Clarence and Cindy Carpenter of Purcellville, VA, and Ray Carpenter of Inverness, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Bill and his family when I worked for his dad a very long time ago at Carpenter's Steak House. My prayers and thoughts are with you all.
