Joyce Ann McCardle, 78, of Malone, Florida, passed away Friday, September 21, 2012, in Dothan, Alabama.
She was born in Napoleonville, Louisiana, March 22, 1934, to the late Jewels P. and Viola (Geautreau) Bergeron. Joyce Ann was a homemaker and was a member of New Harmony Free Will Baptist Church in Grangeburg, Alabama.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary McCardle, Sr.; a brother, Edward Bergeron; and a sister, Rose Ledet’.
Survivors include two sons, Mack J. Pitre, Jr. of Panama City, Florida, and Gary McCardle, Jr. of Malone; two daughters, Sandra Major and her husband, Karl, of Lettsworth, Louisiana, and Melissa Johnson of Blountstown, Florida; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, of Houma, Louisiana.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 27, in the Chapel at Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. in New Harmony Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Grangeburg, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 26, at the funeral home.
