Mr. Phillip Tyre, 39, of Tallahassee, FL, passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 21, 2012.
Phillip was 1991 graduate from Blountstown High School and also a graduate from Chipola Jr. College. He worked for the past 18 years with League of Southeastern Credit Unions as Director of Information Technology in Tallahassee.
He was preceded in death by his father, Aaron Tyre; his grandparents, Lewis and Pearl Tyre and Grady Burkett; and also a cousin, Robby McDonald.
Phillip is survived by his wife, Erica Brown Tyre, of Tallahassee; three children, Alex Tyre, Tristan Tyre and Serena Tyre, all of Tallahassee; his mother, Delores McDougald, and her husband, Gary, of Blountstown; his grandmother, Lovie Burkett, of Blountstown; grandparents, Bert and Dollene McDougald, of Blountstown; three stepbrothers, John McDougald and his wife, Jessie, of Macon, GA, Jerimy McDougald and his wife, Ronna, of Fairbanks, AK, and James McDougald IV of Blountstown; three stepsisters, Lora Riley and her husband, Ken, Linda Clenney and Debbie Clenney, all of Blountstown; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, all of Blountstown.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 27, at 11:00 am (CDT) at Lake Mystic Baptist Church in Bristol with Reverend Jerry Chumley officiating and Jarrod Barfield and Daniel Bontrager eulogizing. Interment will be at a later date in the family plot in Nettle Ridge Cemetery in Blountstown. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 26, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the 1991 graduates of Blountstown High School and their families. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to North Florida Christian School in Phillip’s memory. Their address is 3000 N. Meridian Rd. Tallahassee, FL 32312.
