Orie G. Colvin of Bristol, Florida, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012, at the age of 95.
She was born in Gadsden, Alabama, July 11, 1917, to the late Jones and Connie (Hicks) Granger. Orie was a homemaker and enjoyed helping others. She was a member of Bristol Church of God.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of seventy-four years, Daniel M. Colvin, and a twin sister, Erie Parker.
Survivors include her daughter, Gilda Drummond, of Bristol and a sister, Inez Parker, of Mobile, Alabama.
A homecoming celebration will be held at 3:00 p.m. Central Time/4:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Tuesday, September 4, in the Chapel at Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown, Florida, with Reverend Fred Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Mystic Cemetery in Bristol. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
