A Liberty County man is behind bars accused of trying to force a girl to perform a sex act on him.
Chase Alexander Tipton, 23, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent, battery and attempted sexual battery.
According to the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, a woman and her daughter showed up at the Sheriff’s Office just after 1:30 a.m. Aug. 4. The girl told Dep. Bobby Revell she and her sister were riding trucks with Tipton’s brother in the woods when his truck broke down.
Chase Tipton and another man arrived to pick them up. The girl’s sister told her to ride in the truck with Chase, while she and his brother left in the other vehicle.
The girl alleged Tipton appeared intoxicated, began driving toward her house, then passed her road, telling her she would have to perform oral sex on him or he would kill her.
The girl said he drove beneath the Telogia Creek Bridge, grabbed her by the hair, pulled his pants down and took out a pocket knife.
The girl said she ran screaming from the truck, Tipton pursued, put his hand over her mouth, then took her home, threatening to kill her if she told.
