OBITUARY - Edwards

Michael Edwards of Altha, Florida, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012, in Panama City, Florida, at the age of 61.

He was retired from the U. S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Viet Nam War. He was also retired from the State Department of Transportation Law Enforcement and was a firearms adjunct instructor at Chipola College. He was of the Assembly of God faith. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kay, of Altha; a sister-in-law, Sara Young, and her husband, Bobby, of Blountstown, Florida; his loving pet, Olivia; a sister, Glenda Simmons, and her husband, Joe, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 20, in the Chapel at Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown with Reverend Charlie Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in Old Shiloh Cemetery near Altha with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 19, at Adams Funeral Home.
