OBITUARY - McGhee

Bobby Lee McGhee, born February 29, 1944, in Brewton, AL, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on April 9, 2012, at his home in Callaway, FL.

Bobby was preceded in death by his mother, Willene Partin McGhee; father, Ebb McGhee; one brother, Thomas McGhee; and his in-laws, Perry Yoder and Savilla Schrock Yoder.

He is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Alta Dawn McGhee; seven children, Karla Grantham and her husband, Donny Joe Grantham, of Blountstown, Stephen McGhee of Panama City Beach, Emmanuel McGhee and his wife, Jeanette, of Bristol, Savilla McGhee of Bratt, Perry McGhee and his wife, Amanda, of Blountstown, Christine Ayers and husband, Drew Ayers, of Blountstown, Bobby Joe McGhee of Callaway; seventeen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothers Johnny McGhee and Preston McGhee, both of Atmore, AL; and three sisters, Christine Parker of Trinity, TX, Betty Ann Peacock of Atmore, AL, and Angela DeVilbiss of Foley, AL; many brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews whom he loved very much.

The viewing will be held on Wednesday April 11, at Brock’s Funeral home on Hwy 22 in Callaway, FL, from 6 to 8 pm CST. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 12, at High Praise Worship Center at 7124 E Hwy 22 in Panama City, FL at 10:00 am CST with Reverend Joshua Gay officiating.

Flowers may be sent to Brock’s Funeral Home, 5907 Hwy 22, Panama City, FL, 32404. Memorials may be made to the family as a love offering in care of High Praise Worship Center.
