An electrical problem is believed to be the cause of a fire that destroyed a mobile home on Lake Mystic.
Hope Peacock and her daughter, Sarah, awoke just before 6:30 a.m. Saturday to the smell of smoke and spotted fire on curtains in the front of the home.
Bristol firefighters responded and battled the blaze for three hours. It was a total loss.
“I’m so grateful,” says Peacock, despite losing all her possessions, including her dog. “Immediately, the Lord provided a place to stay. I’ve always said this community takes care of it’s own and it does.” She has also been overwhelmed with other support and says all their needs are met.
The mobile home was owned by her sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Danny Ryals.
