Mrs. Betty J. Deese, 76, of Altha, FL, passed away Monday, December 19, 2011, in Marianna, FL.
Betty was born on December 14, 1935, in Houston County, AL, and had lived in Calhoun County for most of her life. She was a retired hairdresser and was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her husband, Louie Deese, of Altha; one son, Reverend Henry Timothy Gay, and his wife, Linda, of Franklinton, LA; three daughters, Gail Deese of Altha, Charlene Wright of Sneads, and Tammy Keller of Grand Ridge; one brother, Dewitt Clark, and his wife, Myrtice, of Houston, TX; one sister, Nobie Rabon, of Altha; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 21, at 3 pm (CST) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Jack Howell officiating.
Interment will follow in the Sunny Hill Cemetery in Altha. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 21, from 2 pm until service time at 3 pm (CST) at Peavy Funeral Home.
