On Tuesday, December 6, the Blountstown FFA Chapter hosted Sub-District Competitions for Altha Middle, Altha High, Blountstown, and Carr FFA chapters.

The Blountstown FFA Chapter officers opened business for the day with the official FFA Opening Ceremony shortly after 9:00, and FFA members went to their respective holding and competition locations.

At 11:30, members from the sub-district were treated to an outstanding meal, prepared and served by BHS SGA members and the BHS Culinary program. An awards ceremony followed, and the day’s business ended with the official Closing Ceremony, concluding with a salute to the American flag.
The Blountstown FFA Par Pro team accepts a first place award at sub-district.

Sub-District two would like to thank everyone from the community and school system who helped make our annual meeting a success. Competition standings for the Blountstown FFA Chapter are as follows:

Prepared Public Speaking: Trent Smith 1st place

Creed Speaking: Heather Yoder, 1st place

Extemporaneous Speaking: JP Leonard , 1st place

Parliamentary Procedures: Caitlyn Stewart, Mitchell Darnell, Cassidy Odom, Savannah Stephens, Missy Newsome, and April Rich, 1st place team

Tractor Operations: Brandon Purvis, 2nd place
