Mr. Joe, what a wonderful man! He was such a devoted husband to Ms. Margaret, father to his children, and friend to many. He was so much fun to talk to and always seemed to find the lighter side of things to help us get through dark days. I recall in 1988 when both Margaret and I were in the hospital in Tallahassee having spinal fusion, and he would check on her, walk down the hall to check on me and say or do something to get me to laugh, and then slept in their van in the parking lot of Tallahassee hospital, never leaving Margaret for long at the time, not to even stay in a hotel or drive back to Blountstown to shower or rest, but always by her side making sure she was getting the best care possible. That was Mr. Joe, concerned and taking care of others. I've missed both Joe and Margaret since they have moved. I look forward to having fun visiting with them in Heaven.
