Have you been looking for a school club to join? Then check out FBLA at BHS. Future Business Leaders of America is a club that builds character, leadership and employability skills. Students are also taught responsibility, teamwork and dependability. This organization encourages students to focus on careers and helps them to make plans for after high school. The current officers for this year are Mitchell Darnell (President), and Missy Newsome (Parliamentarian).
The members attend and compete on the district and state level. They are currently involved with a Yankee Candle sale to help fund their attendance and participation in these events.
Mrs. Perdue, the club sponsor, teaches a dual enrollment class through Chipola College that helps to prepare students for various software certifications. Just recently Austin Britt (shown above) passed his Microsoft Word 2007 Certification Exam. All of us at BHS are very pleased to recognize Austin’s success.
