OBITUARY NOTICE - Roberts

Mr. John W. (Johnny) Roberts, 69, of Blountstown, FL, passed away early Tuesday morning, September 27, 2011, at his home.
Johnny was born in Calhoun County and had lived in Calhoun and Leon Counties for most of his life. He was a retired meat cutter for over 40 years and was manager of the Helping Hands Peoples Thrift Store in Blountstown. He was a member of the Christian Home Freewill Baptist Church in Blountstown.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Ivy Roberts; two brothers, C.J. Roberts and Alvin Roberts; two sisters, Alice Jordan and Etta Mae Dean.
Survivors include his wife, Grace Roberts of Blountstown; one son, Tim Roberts, and his wife, Janet, of Mexico; his mother-in-law, Margaret Windham, of Tallahassee, FL; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Inez and Billy Sinclair, of Tallahassee; two sisters, Edith Killingsworth and her husband, Jim, of the Abe Springs Community, and Bessie Nunnery and her husband, Lonnie, of Wewahitchka, FL; three grandchildren, Josh Roberts, Alyssa Corley and Micah Roberts; and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 1, at 11 am (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Roberts and Chaplain Jeno Mayo officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 1, from 10 am until service time at 11 am (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel.
All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown (ph. 674-2266).
