NEWS ALERT - Blountstown Couple Arrested For Meth

A Blountstown couple was arrested Tuesday on meth charges after a search warrant was served on their home.
Cristy Dawsey and Thomas Dawsey have both been charged with possession of a controlled substance.
According to the Blountstown Police Department, Lt. Timothy Partridge received a tip that drug activity was occurring at the couple’s home at 20180 Central Avenue West. Lt. Partridge and Cpl. Patrick Crawford conducted surveillance on the residence and inspected two trash bags in a city receptacle at the curb. A pint size sandwich bag with marijuana was discovered.
A search warrant was served on the residence Tuesday just after 9 p.m. by members of the Calhoun-Liberty Drug Task Force. Two plastic containers of meth were located in Cristy Dawsey’s purse. A plastic toothpick bottle in his front pants pocket also contained meth. Cristy allegedly told authorities she had some marijuana in the home, but one of her friends removed it before the search warrant was served.
Assisting in the search were Lt. Partridge, Lt. Mark Mallory, Sgt. Jared Nichols, Cpl. Crawford, Dep. Bobby Sims, Dep. Scotty Norris and Correctional Officer Christian Smith.
