David R Freeman of Wewahitchka, Florida, passed away Monday, September 5, 2011, at his home at the age of 77.
He was born June 28, 1934, to the late Arthur and Thelma (Armstrong) Freeman. He was a longtime member of Wewahitchka First Baptist Church where he served as deacon, taught Sunday school, and served on various committees. He was a member of the Mason Order, Tupelo Lodge for 50 plus years.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Geraldine Freeman; children, Stephanie Zolin of Pensacola, Stephen and Ann Freeman of Havana, and Stan Freeman of Tallahassee; grandchildren, Danielle and Micah Heller, Ashlyn and Billy Grooms, and James Freeman; and four great- grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 7, at Wewahitchka First Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Stroud and Associate Pastor Jason Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, September 6, at the church.
