Football practice kicked off Monday, August 8th, with two practices in the afternoon. The players had a week of two--a-days working on offensive and defensive skills during the first practice, then working on special teams in the late practice.

The Tigers have 43 total players on the JV and Varsity teams. As the second week of practice kicks off, the Tigers will go to one practice in the afternoon until school resumes.

The Tigers will kick off the season with a Kick Off Classic against Wewa on Thursday, Aug. 25, at 7:00. This game will be a regular type contest with all special teams live. We have two weeks of practice and then play on week three after practice begins. We have 13 practices before we play and that is not a lot of time. The players have endured the heat and had a good first week of camp. This will be our last week to work on fundamentals before we get into game week preparations.

We will host the FUTURE TIGER CAMP on Saturday, August 20, here at Bowles Field. The camp will run from 9-11 am at no charge to campers. Also the COMMUNITY PEP RALLY will be Monday night the first day back at school on the 22nd at 6:30 at the Middle School Auditorium. Then we will play on the 25th against Wewa here at Bowles Field.

The wheels have started turning and football is finally here. Hope you get excited and come out and support the Tigers in 2011! Are you ready for some football?? Hope to see you at the upcoming events! GO TIGERS!!!
